Ethereum Philippines marked a major milestone in its grassroots expansion with the successful launch of ETHPH Mindanao and a hands-on, two-day Ethereum Development Workshop in Davao City. The event empowered over 60 students, developers, and tech enthusiasts to take their first steps into Web3 and signaled the start of a thriving Ethereum community in the region.
Held from June 6 to 7 at the heart of the city, the free workshop was co-organized with the Davao DeFi Community and supported by local volunteers. It introduced participants to blockchain fundamentals, Solidity smart contract development, and the tools needed to start building on Ethereum.

ETHPH Mindanao: A New Chapter Begins
Alongside the workshop, ETHPH officially inaugurated ETHPH Mindanao, its newest regional hub focused on expanding Ethereum education and builder support in the southern Philippines. The chapter will serve as the home base for local workshops, hackathons, research groups, and partnerships with universities and institutions in the region.
The opening was met with excitement from both local tech communities and national Web3 groups, many of whom see this as a major step toward decentralizing opportunities in the Philippine blockchain scene.
